Russian forces launched a coordinated drone and missile attack across Ukraine on February 2-3, with approximately 30 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv simultaneously.

The first wave of drones headed toward Kyiv and surrounding regions, while additional aircraft targeted Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk areas. Ukrainian air defense systems activated across the capital and multiple regions in response.

Following the initial drone strikes, Russian forces deployed ballistic missiles, including X-22 and X-32 variants, against civilian infrastructure. At least 15 ballistic missiles struck Dnipro alone, while additional salvos targeted Kyiv. Explosions damaged multi-story residential buildings and educational facilities in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi and Desniansky districts.

Kyiv Mayor Volodymyr Klitschko reported dispatching medical personnel to affected areas. Power outages were observed in Dnipro following the strikes. The attack marks an escalation in Russia’s campaign targeting Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, a documented war crime under international law.
